Introductory
- PICmicro® 101

2-Day Workshop: The introductory workshops are designed for individuals
new to PICmicro 8-bit RISC MCUs or may be familiar with other
microcontroller architectures. The individual should have the following
experience: Personal Computer basics, Windows OS and “how-to-navigate”
basics, State logic, i.e., mechanical (state, dynamic), electrical
(circuit-on, circuit-off), conditional (if, then, etc.), Boolean Algebra,
Fundamental circuits (resistor, capacitor, diode, biasing, loading),
Assembly language experience, MCU basics (MCU experience helpful – not
required), and have an Engineering degree or equivalent experience.

Introductory
- PICmicro 101 Lite
|

1-Day Workshop: The introductory workshops are designed for individuals
new to PICmicro 8-bit RISC MCUs or may be familiar with other
microcontroller architectures. The individual should have the following
experience: Personal Computer basics, Windows OS and “how-to-navigate”

2-Day Workshop: The intermediate workshops are designed for individuals
familiar with the baseline PICmicro family and need higher performance
from the peripheral-rich PIC16CXXX devices, or are familiar with other
MCU architectures. The individual should have the following experience:
Personal Computer basics, Windows OS and “how-to-navigate” basics,
Assembly language experience, MCU basics, have an Engineering degree or
equivalent experience and involved with product design. Each
attendee will use a computer for the labs.

2-Day Workshop: The intermediate workshops are designed for college
educators with some microcontroller experience. Key features and
advantages for PICmicros (microcontrollers) will be explored. The
individual should have the following experience: Personal Computer basics,
Windows OS and “how-to-navigate” basics, Assembly language experience,
MCU basics, have an Engineering degree or equivalent experience and
involved with an academic institution.

2-Day Workshop: The Introduction to C workshops is designed for
design engineers or consulting professionals familiar with the PICmicro
family of 8-bit microcontrollers. The individual should have the
following experience: Personal Computer basics, Windows OS and
“how-to-navigate” basics, C will be introduced, C programming language
experience is an advantage, MCU basics, Experience with microcontrollers
a plus, have an Engineering degree or equivalent experience and are involved
with product design or programming embedded systems or devices.

microcontroller instruction sets. Personal Computer basics, Windows
OS and “how-to-navigate” basics, A basic level of understanding in, and
code development with, the C programming language, MCU basics, Experience
with microcontrollers, have an Engineering degree or equivalent
experience and are involved with product design.
Workshop will be presented using C-language labs.

2-Day Workshop: PICmicro Tools workshops is designed for design
engineers or consulting professionals familiar with the PICmicro family
of 8-bit microcontrollers. The individual should have the following
experience: Personal Computer basics, Windows OS and “how-to-navigate”
basics, A basic level of understanding in, code development. MCU
basics, Experience with microcontrollers, have an Engineering degree or
equivalent experience and are involved with product design. This
class will explore nearly all PICmicro tools available from
Microchip. Emphasis will be placed on advanced debugging
techniques, the use of MPLAB tools and MPLAB-Sim.
Note:
More examples will be
presented. A demo board will be given to each attendee.

Development Tools - PICmicro® 801 Lite
|

1-Day Workshop: PICmicro Tools workshops is designed for design
engineers or consulting professionals familiar with the PICmicro family
of 8-bit microcontrollers. The individual should have the following
experience: Personal Computer basics, Windows OS and “how-to-navigate”
basics, A basic level of understanding in, code development. MCU
basics, Experience with microcontrollers, have an Engineering degree or
equivalent experience and are involved with product design. This
class will explore nearly all PICmicro tools available from Microchip.
Emphasis will be placed on advanced debugging techniques, the use of
MPLAB development tools and MPLAB-Sim.
